Esther Sterline Annas Miller

Granite Falls, NC - Mrs.  Esther Sterline Annas Miller, age 78, of Granite Falls, died Monday, October 19, 2009 at her home. Born April 5, 1931 in Caldwell County, Mrs. Miller was a daughter of the late Jess and Ethel Reece Annas and the wife of Mr. Ralph Miller of the home. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Dale Miller; two sisters, Dorthey Hawn and Nancy Annas. Mrs. Miller was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church where she had worked in the nursery. Other than her husband, she is survived by her grandchildren, Charlie Miller and wife Julie of Granite Falls; Erin Simmons and husband Bradly of Lenoir; two great-grandchildren, Brittany Miller of Granite Falls; Dakota Simmons of Lenoir and one sister, Annie Mae Newton of Indiana. A celebration of Mrs. Miller?s life will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, October 22, 2009 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Reverend Rick Shew and Reverend John Greene officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM Thursday, one hour prior to the service at Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
