Emma Trudy Pennell

Mrs. Emma “Trudy” Pennell, age 87, formerly of Lenoir, passed away Saturday, March 24, 2012 at her daughter’s home in Covington, GA. Born September 22, 1924 in Brownsville, TN, Mrs. Pennell was a daughter of the late Charlie and Lucy Rosson and the wife of the late Guss Henry Pennell, Jr. She attended Lower Creek Baptist Church. Other than her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Jerry D. Pennell. She is survived by a daughter, Sherry Britton and husband Bob of Covington, GA; one son, Guss Henry Pennell, III and wife Jane; 6 grandchildren, Jason Pinegar, Shannon Clements, Bobby Britton, Megan Britton, Ashley Pennell and Miles Pennell; and three great-grandchildren, William Clements, Benjamin Clements and Tyler Britton. A celebration of Mrs. Pennell’s life will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 28, 2012 in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service in Lenoir. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:00, prior to the service.
