Emma Ball Conley

Sawmills, NC- Mrs. Emma Ball Conley, age 90, passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at Lenoir HealthCare. She was born in Swain County on August 15, 1922 to the late Turner Ball and Bertha Barnes Ball and was married to the late Clyde Conley. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her son, Larry Ball; sisters, Mildred Williams, Louise Ball, and Dovie Chavis; brothers, James “J.T.” Ball and Ernest Ball. She is survived by her son, Russel Conley and wife, Mary; step-children, Louise Letterman and husband Harold; Reba Miller and husband Tom; Patsy Willadean Conley; Donnie Conley and wife Debbie; sisters, Ethel Byles, Florence Sipes, Dean Strickland, Frances Ball; grandchildren, Ethan Conley, Ansley Conley, Donna Vance, Dana Cogdell, James Harris; five great-grandchildren; and numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Sunrise Baptist Church on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at 11:00 AM with Pastor David Woods and Pastor Ed Warren officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 AM prior to the service.
