Mrs. Ellen “Toodie” Louise Setzer Parson, age 68, of Lenoir, passed away Saturday, August 15, 2015 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care in Lenoir.Born October 6, 1946 in Caldwell County, Mrs. Parson was a daughter of the late Grady V. and Nellie Price Setzer and the wife of the late Clyde Hildreth Parson. Other than her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Ray Gene Price; Larry William Setzer and one sister, Linda Kay Bays. She is survived by her daughter, Crystal Clark and friend Greg Helton of Lenoir; two sisters, Doris Kirby of Hudson; Ginger Marley of Moravian Falls; one brother, James Setzer of Granite Falls; three grandchildren, Christopher Curtis, Elijah Curtis, Jerron Curtis and one great-grandchild, Sophie Curtis.She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and other relatives. A celebration of Mrs. Parson’s life will be held 12 Noon on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service with Reverend Richard Shew officiating.Burial will follow in Mariah’s Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 11:00 until 12:00, one hour prior to the service. Pallbearers will be:Christopher Curtis, Elijah Curtis, Jerron Curtis, Greg Helton, Ricky Minton and Richard Haas. The family respectfully requests memorials be made to Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care, 902 Kirkwood Street, Lenoir, NC 28645.
