Lenoir- Elizabeth “Lib” Thomas, 78, passed away Sunday, November 10, 2019 at Shaire Center.She was born July 3, 1941 to the late C. H. Allen and Dorothy Bolmon. Elizabeth graduated from North Carolina School for the Deaf in Morganton and retired from Bernhardt Industries after 32 years. Elizabeth was preceded in death on May 3, 2019 by the love of her life, Clint Thomas. Elizabeth and Clint were married 58 years and she longed for the day they would be together again. Survivors include daughters, Nancy Cannon and husband Rickie of Lenoir, Janet Thomas Epperson and husband Dave of Lincolnton, Sue Ann Kanupp and husband Jeff of Lenoir, grandchildren, Beth Fleenor, Rickie Cannon Jr. (Kim), Grayson Epperson, Bailey Kanupp, Trevor Kanupp, Stephanie Rodriguez, and great grandchildren, Shelby Fleenor, Wyatt Fleenor and Anna Cannon. A celebration of Elizabeth’s life will be held in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at 2:30 PM with Pastor Jessie Bowman officiating. Interment will follow the service at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:30 prior to the service. Serving as pallbearers will be Rickie Cannon Sr., Rickie Cannon Jr, Dave Epperson, Grayson Epperson, Jeff Kanupp, and Trevor Kanupp. Elizabeth loved life and everyone she met. She loved giving hugs and kisses. During her brief stay at Shaire Center she impacted the lives of so many. We would like to thank the “girls” at Shaire for the love and care she received while she was there.
