Elizabeth Throneburg Love

Elizabeth Throneburg Love, age 93, of Hudson passed away on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at her home. Born January 31, 1928 in Mitchell County, Elizabeth was a daughter of the late Lawrence Miller and Bess Throneburg.Elizabeth found much happiness through her friendships. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi social sorority for over 65 years. Also, she was a long time participant in the community of The Light Center in Black Mountain as well as the Unitarian Universalist of Caldwell County. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Merrium Throneburg. Survivors include her two sons, Paul Max Love, Jr. (wife Penny) and Hal Love; a grandson, Paul Max Love, III; She is also survived by numerous other relatives. The family wants to thank Elizabeth’s friends Gayle McRary and Pam Yount, and her other friends for their love, support, and helping hands with ET for many years. Because of their love, Elizabeth enjoyed an independent life. A memorial service celebrating Elizabeth’s life will be held on Sunday, October 24, 2021 at St. John’s Lutheran Church at 2:30 PM with Pastor Dan Duke officiating. Interment of the cremains will follow the service at the adjacent church cemetery. Receiving of family and friends will be in the lower level of the church following the graveside service.
