Elizabeth (Lib) Branch

Alice Elizabeth (Lib) Branch, 91, of Lenoir, peacefully passed away November 25, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband, Graham Branch Jr.; and herparents, C.C. and Flora Barber Smith. She is survived by a son, Stephen Branch and wife Jean; a daughter Patti Hartley and husband Billy; and a brother, Bill Smith and wife Betty, all of Lenoir. She is also survived by four grandchildren, David Doll of Keene, New Hampshire; Michael Hartley of Lenoir; Justin Branch of Denver, Colorado; and Lauren McKinney of Lenoir; and five great-grandchildren. She was a graduate of Hudson High School and through the years was an employee of Tuttle’s Jewelry, Lenoir Drug, and Belk. She was a member of Lower Creek Baptist Church and for many years taught a children’s Sunday School class. A celebration of life will be held Friday, November 28th, at 11:00 at Lower Creek Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour before the service. The service will be conducted by Rev. Larry Gilbreath.Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Cemetery. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff of Camelot Nursing Home. Their loving care was such a blessing to her and her family. Memorials may be made to the Children’s Ministry of Lower Creek Baptist Church, 633 Lower Creek Drive, Lenoir, NC.
