Edward Lewis Patterson

Hickory, NC – Mr. Edward “Eddie” Lewis Patterson, age 64, passed away on Sunday, November 7, 2010 at Carolina’s Rehab of Burke. He was born in Caldwell County on May 13, 1946 to the late Raymond Blackmon and Hattie Patterson. Mr. Patterson was a member of Green Hill United Methodist Church and loved making quilts. His family would like to give a special thank you to Uncle Robbie Patterson for his loving care to Eddie. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Edward Cunningham; sisters, Terry Patricia Patterson Propst, Marie P. Copeland and Carolyn “Peaches” Scurry.He is survived by daughters and their husbands; Lori and Lonnie Wilkins of Sallisaw, OK, Dawn and Robert Clements of Springfield, VA, Kimberly and Brian Greer of Fairfax, VA, Florence Bradshaw of Lenoir, and Jale-Sia Patterson of Greensboro; two sisters, Josephine Patterson of Lenoir, Christine Patterson of Hickory; one brother, Garry William Patterson of Hickory; eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; Aunt Sandra Patterson Connolly and husband, John; Uncle Robert Patterson and wife, Sandra, and Uncle Lawrence Patterson. A celebration of Mr. Patterson’s life will be held at 2:00, Friday, November 12, 2010 in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service officiated by Pastor Rocky Dula. Burial will take place immediately following the service at Blue Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00, prior to the service.
