Edward Arnold Triplett, 78, of Ferguson changed his address from here to Heaven February 15, 2024. He passed at home surrounded by family. Ed was preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years, Dorathy D. Keller Triplett.
Ed was born December 8, 1945, to Robert Gwyn Triplett and Rosie A. Hamby Triplett in Wilkes County, NC. Ed was always a hardworking and humble man. He was a timber cutter by trade, providing for his large family. He loved his family, fishing, hunting, and taking care of the family farm. Fishing gave Ed the chance to have some peace and quiet. Listening to the water rippling over the rocks and the wind blowing in the trees was his Heaven on earth. Ed suffered a stroke eighteen years ago and though he was unable to speak much, he was an excellent listener and could communicate quite effectively. All were welcome in his home. Ed was much loved by family and friends, and he will be greatly missed. Though it saddens his loved ones, they rejoice knowing Ed is no longer paralyzed of speech or limb, but happily celebrating with his Heavenly Father, wife, and brothers and sisters in Christ gone on before him.
Ed is survived by his children, Vickie (Daniel) Schmidt, Wendy (Paul) Burrell, Teresa (Brent) Robbins, Connie (Michael) Eller, Edward Triplett, Jr., Shae (Stephen) Carter, Shannon Leade, and James Triplett; grandchildren Savannah and Jacob Schmidt, Ryan, Keaton, Kristen, and Autumn Reckard, Jeremy (Stephanie) Burrell, Bobbie (Cecil) Perry, Devin (Cody) Wentworth, Isaiah (Elizabeth) Cothren, Gabrielle Jennings, Mackenzi Eller, Sean, Seanna, and Shelly Jennings, Summer Triplett, Austin (Sarabeth) Sheets, Preston and Caleb Triplett, Megan and EliJah Triplett, Sierra (Dakota) Becerra, Holden and Kendra Triplett, and Mackenzie Yopp; great grandchildren Harris, Averie, and Hayes Perry, Leo Burrell, Conner Tevepaugh, Luka and Rosalie Becerra, Amelia and Opal Cothren, Aleigha Carlton, and Atlas Jennings; siblings William (Ruth) Triplett, Charles (Patricia) Triplett, Marlene (Randy) Grose, Stonie (Donna) Triplett; sisters-in-law Margaret (Leonard) Triplett, Brenda (Roger) Clement; brothers-in-law C.
