Edna Annette Pennell

Lenoir, NC- Mrs. Edna Annette Pennell, age 45, of Lenoir, died Monday, June 29, 2009 at the Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care Center. Born August 14, 1963 in Caldwell County, Edna was the daughter of Susann Triplett Barbour and the late Robert Wayne Pennell. Edna was a homemaker and Baptist by faith. She also enjoyed reading. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lee Pennell; her maternal great grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Triplett. She is survived by a daughter, Ashley Danielle Laws of Lenoir; a son, Devin Shayne Pennell of Lenoir; her mother, Susann Triplett Barbour of Lenoir; her maternal grandmother Alaine Triplett Watson of Lenoir; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Mark Dwayne Pennell of Lenoir, Jonathan and Patricia Pennell of Lenoir, and Michael and Makeshia Pennell of Hudson; one granddaughter, Haven Danielle Relation; eight nieces and nephews; numerous aunts, uncles, family members and loved ones. A celebration of life will be held Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service. Officiating will be Pastor Ron Burgett. Interment will follow the service at the Belleview Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, at the funeral home.
