Edna May Kirby

Edna Kirby, age 89, of Lenoir passed away Monday, November 14, 2023, at her home. She was born December 21, 1933, in Todd, North Carolina to the late Millard Harrison Stephens and Biddie Lewis Stephens.

She was preceded in death by her husband Roy Kirby, her father, mother and her brothers Hurl, Don, Millard Jr., Herbert, Odel, Paul, and Charles.

She is survived by her daughter Teresa Cornett and husband Tim and grandson Trenton of Lenoir.

Edna was employed at Blue Bell of Lenoir, Caldwell County Schools for ten years, then retired while working at Paxar Corporation in Lenoir N.C.

Edna dearly loved her grandson Trenton and greatly enjoyed her time with him.

Edna had several hobbies that included growing a garden, canning, and spending lots of time crocheting.

Edna was a long-time member of Living Hope Church and she was active in rest home ministry.

A Service will be held at Living Hope Church 1890 Connelly Springs Rd. Lenoir. A Receiving will be Friday, November 17, 2023, from 11:00 AM-12:00 PM. Funeral will be at 12:00 PM following the receiving. Bural will be immediately following the service at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Officiating pastors will be Rev. Keith Gilliam and Rev. David Crisp of Living Hope Church

Pall bearers will be: Gary Bradshaw, Tim Cornett, Trenton Cornett, Bruce Cornett, Robert Burch and Alex Burch.

Memorial donations can be made to Living Hope Church Building fund 1890 Connelly Springs Rd. Lenoir.
