Edna Arnold

Mrs. Edna Gail Arnold, age 58, of Lenoir passed away on Monday, November 9, 2020 at Blue Ridge Healthcare Morganton. Born April 17, 1962 in Cook county, Illinois, Edna was a daughter of the late Argie and Hazel Philyaw.Edna enjoyed playing BINGO.What she enjoyed most was spending time with her grandchildren.In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Wanda Philyaw. Survivors include two daughters, Angel Earp (husband James) and Jennifer Arnold (fiancé Elijah Small); a brother, David Philyaw (wife Melissa); a sister, Betty Woodruff; her grandchildren, Jessica Earp, Jesse Earp, Jozie Earp, Jenna Earp, Johanna Earp, Dezarae Small and Destiny Small; two nephews, Andrew Philyaw and Thomas Philyaw; a niece, Taylor Philyaw; she is also survived by numerous other relatives. A memorial service celebrating Edna’s life will be held on Friday, November 13, 2020 at New Life Baptist Church (Walt Arney Road, Lenoir) at 7:00PM with Pastor Rudy Hayes officiating.
