Edith Teague Rhodes

Edith Rhodes Hudson – Mrs. Edith Teague Rhodes, age 93, passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at her residence. She was born in Caldwell County on May 28, 1922 to the late Wiley “Jim” and Stella Setzer Teague. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Bynum Rhodes. Mrs. Rhodes loved gardening and quilting, as she designed, created and gifted guilts. She traveled extensively in the U.S., Canada, and Europe and enjoyed reading two or three daily newspapers. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Emily Garland and brothers, Charles and Shelby Teague; and her pet cat, Cinnamon. Mrs. Rhodes is survived by her daughter, Linda Vitsyn and husband, Nikolai; brother, Ralph Teague; sister, Nell Saunders; step-grandchildren, Sergei Vitsyn of Paris, France and Victor Vitsyn of Moscow, Russia; and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at Confidence Advent Christian Church Cemetery on Friday, July 24, 2015 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Floyd Vines officiating.
