Douglas Macarthur Wall

Lenoir- Douglas MacArthur Wall, age 75, passed away on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at Frye Regional Medical Center. He was born in Caldwell County on July 7, 1943 to the late Howard and Joyce Benfield Wall. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Howard Wall; Sam Wall; Fred Wall; and sisters, Carrie Eilenfield andDoris Hollins. Doug is survived by his son, Kyle Patterson and wife, Jewel; his life-long companion, Elizabeth Patterson; step-son, Dennis Patterson; grandchildren, Tyran Moore; Keaun Patterson; Dahndray Patterson; Christopher Dula; Deshon Chester; Dennis Chester; Sharmane Dula; and 13 great-grandchildren; brother, Monte Wall; sisters, Dorothy Hicks; Judy Sentelle; Rebecca Johnson; and Donna Parrish; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service for Doug will be held at First Church of God, 1020 Broadway Street, Lenoir on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Jerome Pearson officiating.
