Douglas Henry Crump

Hudson, NC- Mr. Douglas Henry Crump, age 64, of Hudson passed away on October 22, 2011 at his residence. Born February 7, 1947 in Burke County, NC, Doug was a son of the late Ivey and Beulah Prestwood Crump. He was Baptist by faith and was a member of the Mountain Grove Church. He was a CNC Machine Technician for many years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carmen Melissa Crump. Survivors include a daughter and son in law, April and Jimmy Wilson of Mooresville; two sons and daughter in law, James and Misty Crump of Hudson, and Rex Minton, Jr. of Hudson; a brother, Larry Crump of Hudson; Doug is also survived by numerous other relatives. A graveside celebration of Doug’s life will be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at 12:00 Noon in the Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Lenoir. Officiating will be Reverend Jeff Burkhimer.
