Hiddenite, NC- Mr. Douglas Clark, age 43, of Hiddenite, died Thursday May 29, 2008. Born January 21, 1965 in Caldwell County, he was a son of the late Coye Clarke and Sue Clark of Collettsville. Mr. Clark was Baptist by faith and had worked for the Four Way Frame Shop. He is survived by a son, Justin Shoemake of Granite Falls; a daughter and son-in-law, Amber and Mitchell Pennell of Lenoir; his mother, Sue Clark of Collettsville; three brothers and sisters-in- law, Larry and Robin Clark of Collettsville, Gary and Monte Clark of Hudson, and Jeffery Clark of Collettsville; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Melody and Paul McLain of Lenoir, and Lois and Tony Presnell of Sugar Grove; one grandson, Cameron Pennell of Lenoir; one granddaughter, Gracelyn Pennell of Lenoir; he is also survived by numerous other relatives. Other than his father, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Homer and Callie Clark; and his maternal grandparents, George and Bessie Walker. A celebration of Mr. Clark?s life will be held 11:00 AM Monday, June 2, 2008 in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service of Lenoir with Floyd Vines and Reverend Raymond Spann officiating. The family will receive friends at Evans Funeral Service on Monday from 10 until 11 AM, one hour prior to the service.
