Dottie Goble

Lenoir, NC - Mrs. Doris Ann Goble (“Dottie”), age 80, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, April 1, 2020 at her home.She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Christine Adderholdt. Survivors include her husband of fifty-eight years, William Lee Goble, son, William Lee Goble, Jr. of Lenoir, daughter, Jacqueline Michelle Goble and grandson, Jonah Andres Guerra of Jamestown, NC and her sister, Jean Icard of North Wilkesboro. Dottie was a graduate of Hudson High School class of 1958.She received her Bachelor of Science in teaching from Appalachian State University in 1962. Upon graduating from college, Dottie taught in the public school system for over 30 years for Lenoir City Schools and Caldwell County.She taught math, physical science and consumer science.She touched the lives of hundreds of young minds throughout her career.She retired from teaching in 2000 from South Caldwell High School.Dottie was a long-time member of Lower Creek Baptist Church. She relished her time with her family.Always, the doting grandmother, she loved to cook for Jonah- “no one cooks better than grandma.” Private graveside services will be held at Lower Creek Baptist Church on Saturday, April 4, 2020 with Reverend Larry Gilbreath officiating. Memorials can be made to Lower Creek Baptist Church in memory of Dottie Goble.
