Dorothy Alice Kirby Hartley

Lenoir, NC- Dorothy Alice Kirby Hartley, age 67, of Lenoir, died Saturday, May 12, 2007 in Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care. Born March 25, 1940 in Lenoir, Mrs. Hartley was a daughter of the late Steele and Bea Kirby and the wife of the late Charles Hartley. Mrs. Hartley was a member of Cedar Rock Baptist Church and had worked in the furniture industry for many years. Survivors include 4 daughters, Pamela Coffey and husband Frank of Lenoir; Donna Lafone and husband Larry and Peggy Williams, both of Hickory; Amy Shupe of Salisbury; 1 son, Albert Hartley and wife Jennifer of Austin, Texas; sister, Evelyn Adams of Taylorsville; 4 Grandchildren; 3 Great-Grandchildren; 4 Step-Grandchildren and 9 Step-Great-grandchildren. Other than her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Albert Carol and Bobby Kirby, and a Granddaughter, Rebecca Williams. Graveside services will be conducted 3:00 PM Monday, May 14, 2007 in the Zack?s Fork Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Eddie Price officiating. The family will receive friends at Evans Funeral Service in Lenoir Sunday afternoon from 4 until 6 PM.
