Dorothy Honeycutt

Dorothy Ellen Presnell Honeycutt, age 92, passed away July 31, 2021 at Shaire Center where she had lived since April of 2011.She was born February 3, 1929 in Caldwell County, NC to Ora Miller Presnell and Clarence Haskell Presnell.In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of almost 66 years, William Emmett Honeycutt; son, William Dale Honeycutt; sisters, Eula Presnell Miller, Geneva Suddreth; brothers, James “J.D.” Presnell, Roger Presnell, Bynum Presnell; nephews, Donnie Presnell and Gary Presnell. Dorothy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by daughter, Bernita Honeycutt Kirby Hackney (Dan Hackney); grandsons, David William Kirby (Lindsay), Darren Emmett Kirby (Jessica); one great-grandson, Anderson Kirby; daughter-in-law, Maxine Honeycutt; two sisters-in-law, Barbara Presnell and Bobbie Presnell; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens conducted by Reverend Jimmy Duffey.
