Donnie Byron Truesdel

 Hudson, NC- Mr. Donnie Byron Truesdel, age 71, of Hudson, passed away on, November 22, 2008 at his North Carolina residence. A native of Salisbury, Donnie was a son of the late James Byran and Viola West Truesdel. Donnie was a veteran of the Marine Corp and lived most of his life in Florida. He was Baptist by faith and a former member of the New Testament Baptist Church in Miami, FL. Donnie was the president of the Hill York Broward Service Corporation in Ft. Lauderdale, FL ? The Air Conditioning People?.   He served as a past president of the Mechanical Contractors Association of South Florida.    He was a trustee for the pension, health and welfare funds for Local Union 725 and also served on the apprenticeship committee. Surviving are his wife, Lillian Truesdel of the Home; Two daughters and sons in law, Linda and Scott Cunningham of Morriston, FL, and Cheryl and Louis Bauer of Granite Falls ; Three sisters, Eloise Turner of Salisbury, Geraline Shoaf of Salisbury, and Jenny Sue Powell of Camden, SC; One brother, Douglas Truesdel of Charlotte; Four granddaughters, Kimberly and Michael Lombardi of Indianapolis, IN, Ashley Nevader of Knoxville, TN, Melinda Cunningham of Morriston, FL, and Veronica Bauer of Granite Falls; One grandson, Scott Cunningham Jr., of Morriston, FL; He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. A memorial service for Mr. Truesdel will take place on Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at the Crest View Baptist Church at 3:00 PM. Officiating will be Reverend Michael Isaacs. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall of the Crest View Baptist Church.
