Donnie Junior Hamby

Hudson – Reverend Donnie Junior Hamby, age 65, passed away Friday, April 29, 2016 at his home. Born March 26, 1951 in Watauga County, he was a son of the late Don Eugene Wheeler and Beatrice Hamby. Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Angela Dale and a sister, Darlene Woods. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Ruth Geraldine “Dinnie” Hamby; four children, Donnie Virgil Hamby and wife Tammy; Crystal Dawn Colvard and husband Buck; Marla Hamby Rich; Joseph Lee Hamby; five siblings, John, Debra, Melina, Denver, Terry; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 Noon Tuesday, May 3, 2016 in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service with Reverend Cecil Hamby officiating. Burial will follow in the Full Gospel Assembly Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 11:00 until 12:00 prior to the service.
