Hudson, NC- Mrs. Donna Lee Harrison Hollar, age 68, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, SC. Mrs. Hollar was born in Caldwell County on June 3, 1942 to the late Albert and Maxie Poe Harrison. She was the wife of Gerald Dee Hollar of the home. Mrs. Hollar was a member of Dry Ponds Baptist Church where she was active in the Koinonia Sunday School Class, the Young at Heart Group and has served as a Sunday School teacher. She enjoyed reading and served as a reading buddy at Sawmills Elementary School. She was also a former volunteer with Hospice. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Dennis Scott Harrison and Patricia Harrison. Other than her husband, she is survived by her children, Shelly Hollar Triplett and husband, Kent of Hudson; Paige Hollar Austin and her fiancé, James Honeycutt of Hudson; grandchildren, Sydney Triplett and Riley Spake of Hudson; step-grandchildren, Kristopher, Brandon, and Jamie Triplett of Tennessee; niece, Trisha Harrison Grant and husband, Paul of Hickory; great-nephews, Tyler Cannon of Granite Falls and Conner Grant of Hickory; and numerous other relatives. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 24, 2010, 3:00 PM, at Dry Ponds Baptist Church with Dr. Rick Crouse and Reverend Don Ingle officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 prior to the service.
