Donald Garlton Braswell

Donald Garlton Braswell, age 88, of Lenoir, passed away Friday, January 24, 2020 at Caldwell UNC Healthcare.He was born February 9, 1931 in Caldwell County to the late Guy G. Braswell and Essie P. Braswell.In addition to his parents, his is preceded in death by his wife, Martha B. Braswell; two brothers, Cecil J. Braswell and James E. Braswell. Survivors include his daughter, Deborah Anne (Debbie) Braswell; sister, Teresa B. Dugger; childhood friend and cousin, Horace (Snookie) Harwood; and beloved dog, Chloe. Donald was a retired furniture worker for Harper Furniture and was a member of Tabernacle Advent Christian Church.He was a United States Army veteran and served during the Korean War and was awarded the Bronze Star. Graveside Services will be held Monday, January 27, 2020 at 3:00 pm at Blue Ridge Memorial Park conducted by Rev. Bob Copeland.
