Donald Bean

Lenoir- Donald Ray Bean, age 63, passed away on January 9, 2023 at Caldwell UNC Healthcare. He was born in Caldwell County on February 27, 1959 to the late Wiley and Earline Crotts Bean.

Donald was a loving father, grandfather and friend. He enjoyed having a great time with his sons and grandchildren. In his younger years he was an exceptional athlete and later took up foosball and golf. Donald was a Christian and was ready to be with Jesus and see his family in heaven.

Donald fought a long, hard battle with Buerger’s disease.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Wendy Bean; step-father, Harry Conway; and his brother, Steve Bean.

Donald is survived by his fiancé, Vicki Clark; sons, Cory Bean; Casey Bean; brother, Robert Bean; sister, Janey Hathcock and husband, Bud; grandchildren, Aiden, Braxton, Jaden and Kaydence; niece, Emma Hathcock Hampton; step-siblings, David Conway; Denise Stillwell and husband, Ron; and Ronald Conway and wife, Melanie; and other family members.

A celebration of Donald’s life will be held at a later date.
