Dillard Kirby

Lenoir – Mr. Dillard Gerald Kirby, age 77, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Shaire Center. He was born in Caldwell County on February 21, 1942 to the late Oscar and Pearl Severt Kirby. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Watson Kirby and his brother, Larry Kirby. Mr. Kirby is survived by his son, Daniel Kirby; daughter, Mitzi Carlton; granddaughter, Melody Carlton; brother, Roger Kirby and sister, Becky Fronk; and numerous nieces and nephews in Ohio and North Carolina. A celebration of Mr. Kirby’s life will be held at Community Baptist Church on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Waitsel Beard officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service at Blue Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:00 prior to the service.
