Dick Braswell

Edsel “Dick” Nathaniel Braswell, age 97, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 12, 2024 at Amorem - Robbins. He was born in Caldwell County on February 8, 1927 to the late Wesley Braswell and Clara Walsh Braswell.

Dick was a loving husband and father and committed man of God. He had a devout faith in his daily living with the Lord and was active in First Baptist Church of Whitnel. Dick served in many capacities, some of which were Deacon, Trustee, Choir member and the President of the Stewart Land Sunday School Class.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Flora Haas Braswell; son, Larry Braswell; brothers, James Braswell; Jack Braswell; and sister, Shirley Martin Braswell.

Dick is survived by his son, Eddie Braswell and special friend, Dianne Robbins; one grandchild; two great-grandchildren; and other family members.

A service celebrating Dick’s life will be held at First Baptist Church of Whitnel on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at 12:00 PM with Pastor Stuart White and Pastor Steve Hedgecock officiating.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 until 12:00 prior to the service.
