Dewey Phillips, 75, passed away on Monday, December 30, 2024 at Amorem- Burke. He was born in Caldwell County on July 1, 1949 to the late Herbert Dewey Phillips and Edna Jane Wilcox Phillips. He was married to Elaine “Punki” Phillips, of the home, for 56 years.
Dewey dearly loved his wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and was dedicated to his church, Church of God of Resurrection Hope. He was a man of many talents and skills, greatest of all being a conversationalist. Some of which were drag racing, hunting, fishing, attending car shows, but most of all being with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, David Phillips and his sister, Dorothy Eller.
Other than his wife, Dewey is survived by his son, Jason Phillips and wife, Rebecca; grandchildren, Jennifer Bollinger and husband, Josh; Vanessa Phillips; Dawson Phillips; Lyndsay Phillips; great-grandchildren, Xander and Harlow Bollinger; daughter-in-law, Melody Foster; niece, Jameia Branch and husband, Dale.
There will be a gathering of friends and family in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Friday, January 3, 2025 from 10:00 until 11:00 AM.

A private graveside service will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Amorem Hospice, 902 Kirkwood Street, Lenoir, NC 28645.
