Dennis Allen Moore

Dennis Allen Moore, age 64, passed away on February 27, 2022, at his home in Hickory, NC. Dennis is survived by his wife, Sharon “Annette” Moore, of Hickory, NC; son, Justin Moore (Jessica), of Kannapolis, NC; mother, Hazel Moore Warlick, of Lenoir, NC; siblings, Michael “Peck” Moore (Lori), of Midland, NC, Tammy Baker (Joe), of Denver, NC, and Traci Verbos, of Maiden, NC; nephews, Chris Moore and Josh Baker (Tammy), Jeremy Moore (Michael), and Cody Verbos (Traci); and many other beloved family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his sister, Judy Carolyn, and father, Walter Moore. Dennis was born on September 30, 1957 in Aurora, IL to Hazel and Walter Moore. He graduated from Hudson High School in 1975 and enjoyed an array of careers, from gaming arcade and sign company operations to real estate and sales. Dennis was a loving father and talented blues musician, known for his quirky sense of humor and passion for the Chicago Bears, Cubs, travel, and Irish culture. Visitation will be held at 1pm, followed by a memorial service at 2pm on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at Evans Funeral Service in Lenoir. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Dennis’ life. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital - a mission Dennis cared about deeply, in his memory.
