Dennis Abel

Mr. Dennis LaVerne Abel, age 82, of Key Largo, FL and Lenoir, NC passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2020 at Caldwell Hospice in Hudson. Born March 4, 1938 in Lenoir, He was the son of the late Hobert and Eunice Abel.Dennis was an avid fisherman for most of his life.One of the things he enjoyed most was traveling across the country in his motorhome.In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son, Dennis L. Abel, Jr. Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Charlene; a son, James L. Abel (wife Susie); a step son, Douglas Syphurs; two sisters, Gail Greene (husband Al) and Sybil Huffman (husband Jack); he is also survived by five grandchildren, two great granddaughters, a soon to be expected great grandson; he is also survived by numerous other relatives.
