Delphia Sumpter

Delphia Renea Whisnant Sumpter was born December 16, 1969 to Delphia Lee Dellinger Whisnant and Richard D. Whisnant, Sr. in Lenoir, NC.She went home to be with the Lord on October 19, 2020. Renea was preceded in death by her father, Richard Whisnant, Sr.; sisters, Betty Jo Crisp, Mary Ellen Dellinger; brothers, David Dellinger, Jesse Whisnant, Sr., Richard Whisnant, Jr., Mark Whisnant, Dickie Allen Whisnant; nephews, Michael Whisnant, Jesse Whisnant, Jr., Charlie Crisp; nieces, Jordan Whisnant, Jacy Whisnant, Patty Jean Whisnant and husband Sonny Sumpter. Those remaining to mourn her huge heart and smile are her sons, Billy McElyea II, Marcus Whisnant, Jeremiah Whisnant; her mother, Delphia Lee Whisnant; sisters, Frances Moon and Kitty Royal; a brother, Eugene Dellinger; nephews, Joe Royal, Dewey Royal, David Prevatt, Jr., Ricky Whisnant; nieces, Amanda Rice, Sarah Dellinger, Jessica Prevatt, Felicia Crisp, Maya Whisnant; her great nieces and nephews and her many friends.
