Delma Mae Church

Hudson, NC- Mrs. Delma Mae ?Granny? Church, age 86, of Hudson, died Friday, January 25, 2008 at her home. Born October 19, 1921 in Ashe County, Mrs. Church was a daughter of the late Jim and Annie Cheek Church. Mrs. Church was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Lenoir and had retired from Kent-Coffey Furniture. She is survived by her daughter, Earlene Tester and husband Norman of Hudson; a brother, Hayes Church and wife Linda of Winston-Salem; a sister, Devola Wood of Wilkes; two granddaughters, Sheri Tester Bivens and husband Ronnie of Hudson; Renea Tester Lunsford and husband Wes of Hudson; and 2 great-granddaughters, Kayla Bivens and Madison Lunsford. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by 5 brothers and one sister. Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 28, 2008 in the Gordon Baptist Church Cemetery in Wilkesboro with Reverend Alan Carr officiating.
