Delbert Leon Dalton

Delbert “Leon” Dalton, age 79, passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at Caldwell UNC Healthcare.

Leon was born on February 7, 1943 in Mcdowell County, NC. He resided in Buncombe County, NC for most of his life.

Leon is preceded in death by his sister, Frances Sneed and his parents, Arthur and Mamie Dalton.

In addition to his wife of 57 years, Catherine Dalton, he is also survived by his daughter, Pamela Vandeford of Griffin, Georgia and his son, Leon Dalton ll (wife, Kelly) of Lenoir, NC; his grandchildren - Adrian Vandeford (wife, Nicole), Caleb Dalton, Shelby Dalton, Prairie Dalton and Micah Dalton; his great grandchildren - Kaemyn Vandeford, Gabe Vandeford, Tylan Vandeford , and Averee Dalton; and his sisters - Edna Justice, Helen Wilson, and Joyce Bennett.

No funeral services are scheduled at this time.
