Deirdre Lynn Holder

Deirdre Lynn Holder, 62, of Lenoir, passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at Caldwell UNC Healthcare, surrounded by four generations of family and loved ones.

She was born December 11, 1961, to late Georgia Shortridge and Harold Brook of Castlewood, VA.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Amy Jessee; son, Joshua Jessee (Courtney), three grandchildren; Travis Jessee, Jacob Lester, and Gunnar Benfield; sister, Tammy Hurd (Frank); brother, Robbie Hill.  She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many others that cherish her memory.

“Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.  In my Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?  And when I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.” “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.  I do not give to you as the world gives.  Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.  “You heard me say, I am going away and I am coming back to you””.  John 14:1-3, 27

Deirdre was a wonderful mother and grandmother.  She loved her family, reading, and her Green Bay Packers.

You will live on forever in our hearts.  We love you, Mom, now, forever, and always.
