Debra was a dedicated Christian and member of Harper’s Chapel United Methodist Church and was on multiple committees. The light of her life was her children and grandchildren! She loved showing off her beautiful grandchildren. She always had a smile on her face that would light up any room. She worked for Broyhill Furniture for over 40 years. In recent years she worked as a receptionist at Lenoir Heath Care. She was loved and admired by everyone she met. She was one of the toughest women you would have ever met the proof was in the three children and husband she raised. She will be sorely missed, but it gives us strength in knowing she has been re-united with her parents and the Lord Jesus Christ. The family will receive friends and family at Evans Funeral Service on Sunday, February 20th from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and the family will have a private burial service pastored by Tom Blanton and Mark Annas. It is sprinkling A starry mist In the blue hue Of that old light And all that falls She soars past And is beyond it now Along with the cardinal Cutting its red streak Till morning has come It won’t be the same The light having lost some glow It’s not quite as warm anymore It never will be again The family asks in lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Breast Cancer Foundation | Susan G.
