Dawn Renee Byrd

Hickory, NC- Dawn Hendrix Byrd, age 52, of Hickory, passed away at her home on Monday, December 26, 2016. Born May 21, 1964 in Burke County, Dawn was a daughter of the late Howard and Alice Middleton Hendrix. Dawn’s life revolved around her two sons and she’d tell you that her greatest joy was her grandson, Trevor. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Cannon. Survivors include her sons, Nathan Byrd (wife Megan) of Granite Falls and Zachary Byrd of Lenoir; three sisters, Carolyn Wilson and Vivian McCrary of Granite Falls and Susan Roark of Lenoir; a grandson, Trevor Byrd; she is also survived by numerous other relatives. A memorial service celebrating Dawn’s life will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service with Pastor Danny Honeycutt officiating.
