Dawn Williams Burnett

Lenoir, NC- Mrs. Dawn Williams Burnett, age 31, of Lenoir, died Sunday, October 25, 2009 at Carolinas Medical Center after a sudden illness. Born April 1, 1978 in Burke County, Dawn was a daughter of Tommy Wesley and Kathy Yount Williams of Lenoir and the wife of Terry Allen Burnett, Jr. of the home. Dawn was a member of El Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. She liked dogs, horseback riding, camping, fishing and singing. She was very family oriented and was known for her beautiful smile. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Adrian and Coleen Yount; her paternal grandfather, Milton Franklin Williams; and two uncles, Reverend Richard Yount and Jimmy A. Williams. Other than her husband and parents, she is survived by 2 children, Alexander Blake Williams and Kaitlynn Irene Burnett of Lenoir; 2 brothers, Daniel Wesley Williams and wife Christina and Dustin Scott Williams, both of Lenoir; her paternal grandmother, Irene Mask Williams of Lenoir; she is also survived by numerous other relatives. A celebration of Dawn?s life will be conducted 1:00 PM Friday, October 30, 2009 at Cajah?s Mountain Baptist Church with Reverend Jerry Yount and Reverend Randy Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM Thursday, October 29, 2009 at Cajah?s Mountain Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be: Lee Gammon, Michael Yount, Samuel Yount, David Yount, Jason Yount, Ted Williams, Heath Snyder and Jeff Younce. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Kevin Williams, Terry Clark, Jr., and Kris Williams. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to El Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, 1485 North Catawba Church Avenue, Lenoir, NC 28645.
