Dawayne Ray Fry

Dawayne Ray “Dee” Fry, age 58, a proud Cleveland, Ohio Buckeye by birth passed away Monday, August 22, 2022 at his home. He was a Certified Peer Support Specialist with Catawba Valley Health where he was loved and admired by his co-workers for over 10 years. He enjoyed fishing, grilling out, spending time with friends and family, but especially lending a helping hand to others. Preceded in death by a son Dawayne Ray Fry II, his parents Manford and Nancy Fry, a brother Dean Fry and son in law Wayne Bayer. He is survived by two daughters Jennifer Bayer and Shauna Fry, seven grandsons, Logan, Ethan, Elliot, Tony, Skylar, Dakota and Leland, two granddaughters, Haley and Summer, three sisters Melanie Long, Debbie Terry, Ragina Hinson and many nieces, nephews, friends and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Mountain Creek Park 6554 Little Mountain Rd. Sherrills Ford, NC 28673 on Saturday September 10, 2022 at 12:00 pm. It’s a casual event. Please bring pictures and feel free to share memories. Pastor Rita Pritchard and Pastor Bobby Pritchard officiating.
