David Lenoir Sentelle

Lenoir, NC- Mr. David L. Sentelle, age 68, of Lenoir, passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at Caldwell Hospice & Palliative Care in Lenoir. Born March 31, 1943 in Caldwell County, David was a son of Vernie Curtis Alspaugh of Boone and the late Gwyn Sentelle. David had worked many years as a carpenter and as a mechanic. He was Baptist by faith and was a member of the Worship Point Baptist Church. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Allie Winkler Curtis and grandfather, Lawrence Winkler. In addition to his mother, survivors are his wife, Judy Wall Sentelle of the Home; a son, David Sentelle, Jr. of Statesville; three sisters, Judy Miller of Boone, Sherry Brookshire of Lenoir and Barbara “Bobbie” Alspaugh of Catawba and grandson, Justin Sentelle. He is also survived by his special uncles, Buddy Curtis, Bob Curtis and Charles Curtis, all of Lenoir. A Celebration of Mr. Sentelle’s life will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 22, 2011 at Worship Point Baptist Church with Pastor Randy Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 10 until 11 a.m., one hour prior to the service at the church.
