David JD Ruppert, age 63, of Lenoir, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2022 at Caldwell UNC Healthcare after a period of heart failure.He was born February 18, 1959 in Watauga County to the late JD Ruppert and Reba Laws Ruppert.In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Laura Berry. Survivors include his wife Lisa Price Ruppert; daughter, Megan Ruppert and significant other Joshua Shatley; two beloved granddaughters, Raelynn and Rileigh Lloyd; sister, Carol Bates; aunt, Shirley McNeil and husband Henry; special brothers-in-law, Johnny Price and wife Debbie, David Price and significant other Faith Mabe; sisters-in-law, Linda Blevins, Sandra Brown and husband Randy; and nieces, nephews, and many extended family members. David enjoyed his time with family and friends and most of all his granddaughters.Raelynn and Rileigh were his whole world and motivation to keep striving each day. A Celebration of David’s life will be held Friday, April 29, 2022 at 5:00 PM at Piney Grove Baptist Church conducted by Reverend Brent Dula.
