David Anthony "Tony" Green

Lenoir- David Anthony “Tony” Green, age 61, passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at his residence. He was born in Albany, GA on December 31, 1957 to the late David and Mittie Hoyle Green. Tony was a veteran of the United States Air Force and worked for Sealed Air Corporation in Lenoir. He was a former pastor at Bethea United Methodist Church in Bessemer City, NC. Tony loved sports and was a fan of the Baltimore Orioles and Indianapolis Colts. He also enjoyed all kinds of music. Tony was a simple man and enjoyed the simple things in life. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sandra “Sandy” Green Whitson. Tony is survived by his wife, Jackie Crotts; sister, Julie Green Chapman; step-son, Andrew Crotts; niece, Briana Mayhall; and nephews, David Lewis and Andrew Whitson. A celebration of Tony’s life will be held in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Monday, May 13, 2019 at 3:00 PM with Pastor Marsha Joyner officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service at Blue Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2:30 until 3:00 prior to the service.
