David "Roger" Goble, Sr.

David “Roger” Goble, 82, of Lenoir, passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2024.

Roger was born on July 14, 1941, to the late Clyde and Mildred Goble.

In addition to his parents, Roger is preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Brenda Goble; brothers, Harry Goble, Bobby Goble, and Dennis Goble.

Those left to cherish Roger’s memory are daughters, Dinah Weaver (Earl), Dionne Goble; son, David Goble; grandchildren, Amanda, Bailey, Luke, Macie; great-grandchildren, Hunter, Mallory, and Wren.

Roger enjoyed his career as a truck driver, a volunteer fireman, beekeeper, master gardener, loved watching birds, and volunteer at Hospice.  He was full of life and stories about life.  Roger was a talker and loved to tell jokes.

A memorial service to honor Roger’s life will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans.  In addition to honoring Roger’s life, the family will also be honoring his wife, Brenda’s life.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully request donations be made to King’s Creek Fire Department and/or Amorem Hospice in Hudson, NC.
