David Lyn Coffey

David Lyn Coffey of Vilas, NC, is now fishing with grandpa in Heaven. David passed away at Cabarrus Hospital surrounded by family on January 6, 2024.

David was born to Baxter and Scottie Coffey on April 22, 1959 in Collettsville, NC. David is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Mikeal Coffey and Robin Price and sister Carolyn Coffey.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters; Ashley and Caylee Coffey, his son; Josh McCall, his beloved grandchildren Landon, Westen and Aleeah Presnell, Hayven Coffey, and Kaleb and Gavin McCall. A sister; Sandy Price, nieces Jessica and Melissa, and several nieces, nephews, and friends.

David was a dedicated father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and most of all his grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held on January 14, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Setzer's Gap Church in Lenoir with Preacher Ken Byerly officiating. David was a simple man so the family requests casual attire at the service.
