Darlene Jones Darlene Shell Jones, 53, of Hudson went home to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, September 22, 2014 at Catawba Valley Medical Center. She was born June 29, 1961. She was preceded in death by her parents Aron and Frances Shell and a brother Paul Shell. She is survived by a daughter, Debra Price and husband Donald of Lenoir; son David Winebarger Jr. and wife Morgan of Elkin and five wonderful grandchildren; six sisters, Wanda Church and husband Jerry of Ashe County; Irene Crews and husband Levi of Lenoir; Geraldine Lane and husband Robert; Mildred Church and husband Vernon; Katherine Spencer and husband John all of Hudson; Patsy Earp and husband Paul of Florida; five brothers, Earnest Shell and wife Carolyn of Wilkesboro; Reverend Aron Shell and wife Mary of Hudson; Johnny Shell and wife Jan of Dudley Shoals; Raby Shell and wife Sandy of Hudson; Jeffery Shell of Wilkesboro; and many nieces and nephews; and her extended Snack Bar family where she was employed. A celebration of Darlene’s life will be held at Zack’s Fork Baptist Church on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at 2:00 PM with Reverend Larry Winkler and Reverend A.E. Shell officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Friday, September 26, 2014 from 6:00 until 7:30 PM.
