Danny Lee Prestwood

Lenoir, NC- Mr. Danny Lee Prestwood, age 55, of Lenoir, passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2011 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care in Lenoir. Born February 6, 1956 in Caldwell County, Danny was a son of the late, Marshall and JoAnn Hall Prestwood. He was Baptist by faith and had worked as a truck driver for a number of years. He enjoyed Baseball and was a pitcher as a young age. He was also involved with the RA’s at church. He was very proud of his son and grandson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Marshall Lee Prestwood, Jr. Survivors include his wife, Kathy Sue Prestwood; a son, Daniel Lee Prestwood; a grandson, William Isaiah Prestwood; two sisters, Janice Lawson and Debbie Prestwood; a niece, Tammy Coffey; Danny is also survived by numerous other relatives. A celebration of Danny’s life will be held on Monday, January 2, 2012 at 4:00 PM at the Lakeview Baptist Church with Pastor Ron Burgett officiating. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be paid to the Prestwood family at 307 Summit Place SW, Lenoir, NC 28645.
