Danny Lackey

Lenoir – William Daniel Lackey, age 53, passed away on Monday, May 11, 2015 atBurke Hospice & Palliative Care. He was born in Caldwell County on April 19, 1962 to JoAnn Lackey Wright and the late William E. Lackey. Danny was affectionately known to everyone as Pawpaw. He never met a stranger and loved to take people in and make them part of his family. He is also survived by his step-father, Calvin Wright; daughter’s, Amanda Lackey and fiancé, Stephan Thomas; Samantha Lackey and fiancé Scott Harmon; son, Joshua Lackey and girlfriend, Krista Sumpter; sisters, Sandy Foster and Susan Lackey; brother, Billy Lackey; grandchildren, Ashton, Tyler and Aubrey Minton; Mason and Kylee Harmon; Alahna Thomas; Mariah Coffey; Nevaeh and Sincere Grandy; Connor, Kaleb and Arabella Kunkle. A celebration of Danny’s life will be held at Bethel Advent Christian Church Hall on Friday, May 15, 2015 at 5:00 PM.
