Danny Harrison

Mr. Danny Joe Harrison, age 77, of Lenoir passed away in his home on Saturday, August 17th, 2019. Born January 2nd, 1942 in Caldwell county, Danny was a son of Ruth Mikeal Harrison and the late Claude Lorance Harrison.Danny was a member of the North Catawba Baptist Church where he previously served as a deacon.He enjoyed restoring old furniture, and one of the things he enjoyed most was working on antique cars.He was most proud of his award winning ‘56 Buick Special.He loved attending car shows and showing off his Buick.He worked for the General Electric Company as a coil winder for 28 years. In addition to his mother, he is also survived by his wife of 57 years, Faye Virginia Barnes Harrison;two daughters, Dana Jo Lankford (husband Keith), Donna Jo Hart (husband Marty); his sisters,Scottie Stephenson, Patricia Harrison and Becky Woods; his brothers, James Lorance Harrison, Melvin Harrison and Mike Harrison; his grandchildren, Casie Campbell, Levi Lankford, Faith Lankford and Rachel Hart. He is also survived by numerous brother in-laws, sister in-laws and other relatives whom he dearly loved. A celebration of Danny’s life will be held on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service with Reverend David Brown officiating.Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park.
