Daniel Webster Pope

Lenoir, NC- Mr. Daniel Webster Pope Jr., age 53, of Lenoir, passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at the Catawba Valley Medical Center. Born July 3, 1957 in Dade County, Florida, Daniel was a son of the late Daniel Webster Pope, Sr. and Ann Holden Pope. Daniel worked many years as a rip saw operator at Broyhill. He enjoyed fishing with friends, doing yard work and going to antique motor shows. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an uncle, John Lewis Holden. Daniel is survived by two aunts and an uncle, Cora Holden of Lenoir, and Frances and Mark Crane of Manna Harbor, NC; he is also survived by numerous other relatives. A celebration of Daniel’s life will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service. Interment will follow at the Blue Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
