Dale Dillard

Dale “Yankee” Dillard, 62 of Lenoir passed away on July 30, 2021 from complications of a stroke. He was born November 29, 1958 in Aurora, IL to the late Mattie Jane Buress and Grady Romellis Dillard.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Judy Townsend and Linda Lloyd. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Deborah Watson Dillard of Lenoir, NC; Daughter, Natasha Dillard Bright (husband Kevin Lee Bright); Grandson, Cameron Cooper Bright; Grand-daughter, Emma Allison Bright; Brother, John Wesley Dillard (wife Karen Arnett Dillard); a Brother in Law, Bryan Allen Watson (wife Trela Jones Watson); he is also survived by numerous other relatives including multiple nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. There will be no funeral service.Dale wished to celebrate his death by having one last BBQ dinner with family and friends at the home of Deborah and Dale Dillard on Saturday, August 7, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family request that family and friends join in celebration and bring a story about Mr. Dale Dillard.
