Cynthia Marie Griffies

Cynthia Marie Griffies, age 62, of Hudson, passed away Sunday, March 27, 2022 at Caldwell Hospice of Hudson-Amorem.She was born June 9, 1959 in Watauga County to the late Charles G. Griffies and Clidia Triplett Griffies.In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son-in-law, Lloyd Eric Cornett. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Teia Cornett; three grandchildren, Makaylia Ritch, Landon Cornett, and Katana Cornett; two great-grandchildren, Breelan Ritch and Maddox Ritch; two sisters, Julie Land and Sandra Anders; fiancé, Mark Norris. Cynthia “Simp” was a very devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister.Simp’s family was her world.She loved her some “Marky”.She was an avid outdoors enthusiast and gardener. She also enjoyed shopping and was crafty with many projects.Simp will be missed by all who loved and knew her. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, April 3, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Evans Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
