Cora Lee Johnson

Lenoir, NC- Mrs. Cora Lee Dula Johnson, age 87, passed away on Monday, December 5, 2011 at her residence following a gradual decline in her health. Mrs. Johnson was born in Burke County on August 19, 1924 to the late Uyless Dula and Gertrude Corpening Dula. She was married to the late Pete Johnson. Mrs. Johnson worked for Drexel Heritage for many years and was a member of Hartland Church of God where she served faithfully as church usher. She is survived by Roy Lee Dula and wife, Georgia; Jimmy Levon Johnson and wife, Ethel; Robert Richard Johnson and wife, Irene; Rodney Johnson and wife, Brenda; Billy Ray Johnson; Tracy Lynn Johnson, Marie L. Johnson Dykes; Sherry W. Johnson Harvin; Cynthia E. Johnson Vaughan; Clifford William Johnson; Ida Banner, only surviving sister; twenty-two grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews as well as close friends of the family. A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, December 11, 2011 at Hartland Church of God with Reverend Eugene Kincaid officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 2:50 PM prior to the service at the church.
